Hanukkah fun activities for toddlers

Thursday, December 3, 2015

I prepared a few Hanukkah fun activities for Daniel this week, all easy to prepare.

Playdough candles
Daniel is really into playdough now, so I prepared a Hanukkah playdough mat for him. I printed a menorah on a thick paper (so it would last for, let's say, 8 days maybe? :) ) and placed it in a sheet protector. We created candles with playdough and put them in the right place. We also worked on counting the candles.

Menorah
This activity is all about fine motor skills and coordination.
Daniel placed the candles into the menorah, and also count the candles as we put them in.

What a fun week! We will have more crafts and activities to share soon, so don't forget to sign up!

Hanukkah is coming!

Tuesday, November 24, 2015

Hanukkah is my favorite holiday! I really wanted to do something with Daniel, and maybe start a family tradition
I was looking for ideas for a long time, and found this fun activity. We created menorah from Daniel's hand-prints. I hope I will remember to do it every year, and that he will be more cooperative next year, because today he just wanted to do it by himself! Ha! :)

Looking forward to listening to Hanukkah music, playing the dreidel, eating Sufganiyut and Latkes,  and telling Daniel the story of Hanukkah in the next few weeks! There will be lots of toddler fun, craft and learning activities, so stay tuned!
